As the owner of a freehold property at the West Island Resort in Mauritius you are offered the opportunity to participate in a rental pool.

If you decide to participate you will have no costs to pay, in addition to the possibility of earning a meaningful return on your property.

You can rest in the knowledge that your property pays for itself and will likely provide excellent capital appreciation when you sell in years to come.

Rental Pool Operations

West Island Resort has entered into an agreement with Mascareignes Location, the leading operator of luxury self contained suites in Mauritius, to establish a rental pool on behalf of owners.

The self contained operating model provides the highest returns to owners and the greatest flexibility to guests.

Core services are included as standard - for example cleaning services, maintenance and security. Guests are then able to select the level of luxury they require from a range of optional, a la carte concierge services.

Rental Pool Highlights

• Participation in the rental pool is optional.


• We expect that owners will be exempt from paying levies on their property if breakeven occupancy is attained. Occupancy in year one is predicted at 45%, which is well above breakeven level.


• Subject to booking, owners are free to use their property at any time, While an owner is using their property, they will not share in the revenues of the rental pool. If an owners unit has already been booked and occupied, the operator will make another similar unit available if possible.


• Due to the fact that all rental income is pooled, owners will receive income every month, even if their particular unit is not rented. Rental income will be distributed to owners 6 times per annum.


• Annual yields are forecast to provide a meaningful return to the owners, before any capital appreciation has been taken into account.
